Win air flights, hotel stays, spa packages and much more at this art, music and fun-filled festival weekend that kicks off Friday, April 20th with a free outdoor all-ages dance party with the percussive group Masala, Candu Music and Grandpa Phunk from 7 to 9:30 pm at 600 Richmond Road at Richardson!!!
Costumes are welcome all weekend!!!
Bring your family, friends and neighbours and visit more than 40 displays, enjoy yummy food and entertainment galore.
The Creatively United for the Planet Earth Week Festival is in support of more than 15 eco charities, including: The Ancient Forest Alliance, The Dogwood Initiative, WildArc, Habitat for Humanity, The Land Conservancy, Wilderness Committee, Sierra Club, Bears Matter/Pacific Wild, The Land Trust Alliance, The Trust for Sustainable Forestry, RAVEN (Respecting Aboriginal Values and Environmental Needs), OASES (Organization Advocating Sanctuary for Endangered Species), Raincoast, GarryOak Ecosystems Recovery Team (Goert), PVEA (Peace River Valley Environmental Association), and the Child and Nature Alliance.
Ann Mortifee, Paul Horn, The Gettin' Higher Choir, Holly Arntzen, Paul Wright and TedTalk photographer Garth Lenz will be among the dozens of performers and entertainers coming out in support of these charities.
Wearable art, recycled fashions and the work of amazing local designers, plus a dance performance by Tann-auz and music by The Woodsmen, DJ Rowan and The Soul-Shakers will make for an incredible evening on Sat., April 21 from 5:30-10 pm.
On Earth Day, April 22, Robert Bateman will be speak from 3-4 pm, followed immediately by a John Lennon Tribute Concert, featuring Mae Moore, Daniel Lapp, Jean-Paul Maurice, Lola Parks, Roland Barrett, Anne Schaefer, Colleen Lee Eccelston, Justin Hewitt, Geoff Lundstrom, Gareth Hurwood, James Kasper, Caroline Spence, Jeremy Walsh backed by: Mike Demers on guitars and vocals, Chris Van Sickle on keyboard, Ian McElroy on bass and Murray Creed, drums.
Free art-making, including clay, painting and pennant making workshops will be held from 1-5 pm both April 21 and 22.

Michelle Miller and Kate Carson will host the Art School Victoria Annual Student Art Auction on Sun., April 22 from 1-2:30 pm and open their classroom for an open house on the weekend. We are thrilled to announce that Robert Bateman has donated a beautiful signed, limited edition print (see below) for inclusion in the auction.
