Torma

Torma Making Workshop - Learn Ritual Buddhist Art
Khedrubje Centre, Wamberal • Sun Feb 1st • 9am-2pm • $35

Torma offerings are traditional offerings custom-made for special events such as empowerments, retreats and chanted prayers. Representing an offering of great bliss, tormas are conical in shape, and can range from very simple to exquisitely beautiful. In the past, tormas were made of butter, but Australian Kadampa Buddhist Centres mainly use icing sugar to form their torma offerings. This will be a great, fun, hands-on workshop for anyone who wishes to learn more about the traditional art of torma making. The cost of the course covers lunch and materials.

Happy Ho from Mahasiddha Kadampa Meditation Centre in Sydney will be the teacher for this course. A joyful teacher, she is very skilled at making beautiful tormas.
