Learn to Meditate - 2 Half Day Courses in Wamberal

Meditation is an effective tool to combat stress, anxiety and other negative states of mind. On these courses, discover simple and practical instructions on how to increase your inner peace. The courses will be taught by Western Buddhist monk, Kelsang Dawa. For your convenience we are offering two time slots for the same course:

Transform Your Life Retreat - A Blissful Journey

Retreat is a time to put aside our busyness and enjoy an opportunity to develop some inner peace. On this beginner's retreat we will study, contemplate and meditate on the instructions given in the text Transform Your Life. This book contains many simple methods to transform the mind and a wealth of advice for daily meditation practice.

Retreat sessions are drop-in and guided by Kelsang Dawa, a western Buddhist monk. Dawa explains Buddhism in a gentle and clear manner which is easily understood.

Very Special Event - Kadam Bridget Heyes

We all want to feel good about ourselves, and suffering low self-esteem affects our daily life, relationships and spiritual development. In this talk, Kadam Bridget Heyes - a wife and mother - will explain how to relate to our potential rather than our limitations and become a powerful, positive influence on those around us.

Special Event - National Spiritual Director Returns to the Coast

This coming March, we are fortunate to welcome Gen Kelsang Rabten back to the Coast. Gen Rabten is Australia's Spiritual Director and well-loved for his sincerity and the clarity and humour of his teachings. In this talk, to be held at Mingara Recreation Club, Gen Rabten will share practical advice on how to understand the mind in order to attain a stable and lasting happiness, come what may. Everyone welcome.

Love Without Pain - Afternoon Course in Lake Munmorah
Lake Munmorah Hall, Colongra Bay Road • Sat Feb 15th • 2pm-5pm • $25

"Love is the great protector."
We love each other, yet we are not always happy together. Many of our relationships suffer from misunderstanding and unrealistic expectations. On this afternoon course, learn methods to recognise when our love for others is becoming conditional, and how to remove such limitations. In this way, we can improve our relationships with family, friends and others. For more information, please click here.

The course will be taught by western Buddhist monk Kelsang Thubchen. Thubchen has a joyful delivery and explains Buddha's teachings in a clear and practical manner.
