holly wren spauling large.JPGHolly Wren Spaulding is a poet, educator, and community activist.  She was a co-founding member of Sweetwater Alliance, a direct action organization formed to challenge the mining of Michigan groundwater by Nestle Corporation.  She worked on, and also appears in, the award winning documentary FLOW, currently in theaters nationwide.

In this week's Editorial entitled "Should We Gary Wilson 150.jpgShare our Wealth of Water," Gary Wilson discusses the 17 of 11,691 words in the Great Lakes Compact dealing with humanitarian water usage.

"...no law or Compact will stand up to the pressure and images of people dying for lack of water, while we hoard 20% of the Earth's supply of fresh surface water and facilitate its usage in global warming plastic bottles."
