May 9, 2009
10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. River Arts Center Sauk Prairie, Wisconsin
The River Alliance of Wisconsin is hosting a workshop to help you have an effective voice in decision making. The workshop will help you wade through the decision-making process for local governments and understand how you can influence environmental policy decisions.
After lunch, Dorothy Lagerroos, retired Environmental Studies and Government Professor at Northland College, will provide hands-on training in developing and getting your message across.
The deadline for DNR’s River Protection Grant Program and Citizen-Based Monitoring Program is May 1st!
As always, River Alliance staff can assist you with River Protection Grants by discussing your proposal, reviewing your draft application and providing letters of support. Please contact Allison Werner, awerner@wisconsinrivers.org, as early as possible to allow for adequate review time. On-line meeting scheduling tools There are many on-line options for scheduling meetings with ease. Here is a quick overview of some of the more popular on-line scheduling sites.
Meeting Wizard is a formal scheduling program with free and low cost scheduling packages which are easily integrated into other programs like Microsoft Outlook. Registration is required.
Meet-o-Matic is a free, no-frills, basic scheduling program. There is no registration required. It is designed for smaller groups and is not suited for scheduling larger group meetings. It is not especially compatible with all computer programs so it is advised to review compatibility before using this program.
