Dear RG Community, With much appreciation, sadness and excitement, we are writing to announce a transition in the leadership of Resource Generation. Rodney McKenzie Jr., our Executive Director, has decided to leave RG to focus his time and energy on his ministerial work. The Board is thankful for all Rodney has brought to our community; his vision and organizing skills have left us with an amazing board and staff team and greater belief in our ability to make big change together. In this period of transition, Resource Generation is moving ahead with the important work of organizing young people with wealth to leverage resources for social change. Resource Generation is excited to announce that Elspeth Gilmore and Mike Gast are stepping in as Interim Co-Directors of the organization. Their passion, commitment and love for RG has been evident as long-time staff members and constituents, and we are confident in their ability to lead the organization. From supporting donor circles like the Next Gen Giving Project in Seattle, to organizing delegations to the US Social Forum, to putting on amazing retreats like Creating Change Through Family Philanthropy, RG has had an incredible program year. We are poised to realize our vision of expanding our community from a few hundred active members to thousands and moving more money, time and talent towards the social change movements we care about. It will come as no surprise that given the times, fundraising this year has been tough. As we start our new fiscal year, we are raising funds to move RG successfully through this transition and to a solid financial place. Our goal is to raise $100,000 in the next two months to guarantee a healthy transition and we are almost half-way there!  Our work and this community are more important than ever and your support is vital to our success.
