Get Muddy!

Melissa Tebow LMT
Assistant Manger, Terra Del Sol Spa

Playing with mud isn't just for kids. Mud has been used for centuries all over the world for it's many therapeutic uses. Pure mud is full of vitamins and mineral. Dead sea mud includes minerals such as magnesium, calcium, potassium, bromine, and sodium. These minerals are natural minerals that the skin needs everyday.

Pure mud rich in minerals is detoxifying, balancing, and regenerative for the skin. Fine grains of mud work to cleanse the skin, purifying it and removing toxins. This aids in the relief of skin problems like acne, eczema, and psoriasis. A mud mask will leave the skin looking younger, healthier and more beautiful.

At Terra Del Sol Spa we have a Steam Tent of Clouds that provides a personal tent of steam. Combining this tent with a mud mask greatly increases the results. The steam helps to open the pores of the skin so you are able to absorb much more of the minerals from the mud. The steam also helps to detoxify and cleanse the skin, working harmoniously with the mud.

Mud is also very therapeutic and works great as an anti-inflammatory. Mud helps to increase circulation and stimulates the immune system, helping to aid in the recovery of many rheumatic conditions, such as arthritis and muscular aches and pains. Mud increases relaxation in the muscles and aids in the release of built up toxins which helps to relieve aches and pains and improves range of motion.
Go ahead, let your inner child out and get muddy!
