PDBA BULLETIN BOARD

Membership Meeting

October 28, 2008

Our general meeting will cover our upcoming holiday promotion Big Reveal and the status of our generated enrollment and promotional elements. We will present our new web calendar and special features. You’ll want to see how it will help to promote your business. It’s just one of the many ways we continue to bring strong business tools to the PDBA and our membership.

Big Reveal! PDBA Holiday Promotion

Deadline Extension! October 28

The Pearl District Holiday Big Reveal will establish the Pearl District as the newest place to create fun family holiday tradition. Window displays will simultaneously be unveiled on Saturday, November 29th (the Saturday after Thanksgiving) at 10 am. We are currently negotiating our television, radio and print programs to promote the event. We’ve partnered with Zip Car, Portland Streetcar, and PDX Magazine for advertising. It is important to generate enough PDBA enrolled businesses to maximize our advertising potentials. Your enrollment fee of $99 dollars enables us to promote the Pearl District as the destination for holiday shopping. Please contact the PDBA office for more information.

Big Reveal – Open to Any Pearl District Business!

In an effort to promote the Pearl District as the destination for holiday shopping, we are opening our enrollment to non-members for $198. Please encourage your neighboring businesses to participate as we all pull together to promote during economically challenging times. The more partners we have for this promotion – the more advertising we are able to secure for the Pearl District. We want to encourage them to use the PDBA for their special events promotions. Consumers need to see a full listing of potential special events. Partnering together helps to consolidate our efforts and speaks to the public in one unified voice that we are the place to shop, have fun, and enjoy our family and friends.

HEALTHCARE SPOTLIGHT

Pearl Women’s Center October Healthcare Spotlight

Can non-surgical cosmetic procedures be as good as plastic surgery?

That depends on your objective. “Each individual is unique,” explains Andrea Stapleton, RN, CPSN with Pearl Women’s Center. “There are often a variety of viable approaches to achieve a patient’s desired appearance. It is the practitioner’s job to listen closely to the patient’s goals and provide customized solutions that are reasonable and attainable.”

Andrea Stapleton is one of nation’s most experienced practitioners of non-surgical rejuvenation. She is a board certified plastic surgical nurse and aesthetic nurse specialist with over 13 years experience with injectables like BOTOX. She regularly lectures throughout America and has been a consultant and clinical instructor for Allergan, the manufacturers of BOTOX. This fall, Ms. Stapleton joined the department of Surgical and Non-surgical Rejuvenation at Pearl Women’s Center along with Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Richard Bensimon.

Ms. Stapleton offers this advice:
  • Think carefully about your goals prior to your consultation.
  • Pay attention to how your practitioner evaluates your areas of concern. A good practitioner will carefully examine how your facial muscles behave in a variety of positions.
  • Consider all your options. At Pearl Women’s Center, comprehensive consultations are performed with both Ms. Stapleton and Dr. Bensimon. By combining both the non-surgical and surgical perspectives in a single consultation, patients benefit from the full spectrum of options available to achieve their unique goals.
  • Seek out experience. In the hands of a skilled professional, treatments like BOTOX, Juvederm, Restylane, Sculptra, Radiesse and Perlane can offer dramatic and natural results.
If you would like more information on non-surgical procedures, you may contact Andrea Stapleton at Pearl Women’s Center, 120 NW 14th Avenue, 503.771.1883.

The Pearl District is home to some of the best Healthcare Providers in the city: Allergy, Asthma & Dermatology Associates, Fine Art Massage,
Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital, Pearl Health Center & Healing Garden, Pearl Women's Center, Rafia Dental, The Eye Studio, Dr. Tina Tsai, and Visage Eyeware.

PDBA Task Forces
PDBA Task Forces meet each month and are responsible for creating marketing plans for specific business groups with shared goals and objectives. Task Forces frequently work together and have overlapping interests, so any member may attend a task force at any time. We’ve found these Task Forces get more done and drive member business more effectively than general membership meetings. Consequently, the 6 Task Forces meet monthly and we are moving Membership Meetings to once per quarter (4x per year).
