Got Mouse Potato
Syndrome? A Mouse Potato is the computer equivalent of television's Couch Potato: someone who tends to spend a great deal of time in front of the computer in much the same way the Couch Potato does in front of the television. Symptoms may include: sore shoulders aching back headaches neck pain tingling hands inflamed wrists numbness in extremities Often these symptoms are indicative of hypertonic (tight) muscles that may be compressing or impinging nerves due to heavy repetitive motion (mouse, typing) and static position (sitting, looking @ monitor). Or the muscles may simply be so tight that they create pain at the points where they knot up and attach to your bones (e.g., between shoulder blades). Bones are “alive” and their surfaces are loaded with pain sensors. And naturally, tight muscles that span joints will aggravate, or present themselves, as arthritis. At Fine Art Massage, a thorough assessment of your pain is taken before your time on the table begins. As needed, massage is targeted at the specific muscles causing your pain by a knowledgeable, rested, and ready-to-work therapist. After a truly therapeutic massage, you will think you are in a different body. Mention this article and gift certificates purchased during February will be accompanied by complementary chocolate: 4-piece boxes of truffles, handmade by a local chocolatier. Flexible hours, 9 am - 9 pm, 7 days a week, by appointment. Fine Art Massage Relaxing muscles, relieving pain, restoring balance…
