There will also be information and resources covering safe routes to school and work, tips on riding with children, and bicycle maintenance. Surgeon Joins Legacy Weight Management Institute
Legacy Good Samaritan Weight Management Institute is pleased to welcome bariatric surgeon Valerie Halpin, M.D. to the medical staff. The American Society for Bariatric Surgery has accredited the institute as a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence for surgical weight loss. Dr. Halpin received her medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. She completed a research fellowship in advanced laparoscopy at Washington University Institute for Minimally Invasive Surgery. Dr. Halpin practiced at Washington University for four years as well as held a faculty position, training surgical residents. Most recently, she has practiced bariatric surgery with Oregon Weight Loss Surgery in Portland. Legacy Good Samaritan Weight Management Institute is located at 1040 NW 22nd Avenue, Suite 520, Portland, Oregon.
