Letter From the President

We've suffered from the cobbler's children syndrome with our newsletter of late, but I do want to say thank you for hanging in there with us.  This week I want to share some important changes within FinTech media (see below).  A few other articles issue might be of interest:

1) SEO in our space has been a trending up topic.  We practice "white hat" SEO practices -- to learn more, see "The Dirty Little Secrets of Search" for more information.

2) If you did not see the last FinTech Marketing blog entry, recently I had a good lesson on banking from a 16-year-old named CJ.

3) And finally, WMA is very proud of Elizabeth and David who are very active and well respected within the PRSA organization.

Anything new in your world? We'd like to hear from you.

Best regards,

Social Media Corner

LinkedIn Tabslinkedin logo

If you have not updated your company page on LinkedIn recently, now is the time! Of course, all communication channels between your company and its publics should be monitored and updated regularly. The reason we call LinkedIn to your attention is that until recently, corporate pages have been relatively self-sufficient; they mainly aggregated other social media tools for updates. Now, the social networking mainstay has introduced new tabs that can make your company page more interactive.

Three new tabs have been added to the company page link:

    1) Careers – A company may post job opportunities on its LinkedIn page for recruiting purposes. A 30–day posting for a single job costs approximately $95, depending on the location. Bulk discounts are available.

    2) Services – Products and services can now be listed in full detail and promoted with various marketing tools, including logos, separate URL addresses, special promotions and YouTube Links. Most importantly, clients can publicly recommend a specific product or service.

    3) Analytics – Page administrators have access to page views and follower measurements, and also have the ability to compare your page to similar companies. (Similar companies are determined by vertical, not demographics, so be aware that an international payments provider with thousands of employees is in the same peer group as a start up.)

Feel free to reach out to us with any questions. Or, if William Mills Agency has proactively addressed questions before you even think of them, post it on our page!
