In Sacramento? You Can Now Hear QuietRock in Action at the Citizen Hotel
 Joie de Vivre is the largest boutique hotel company in California. The new 197 room Citizen Hotel opened on time in the fall of 2008 in downtown Sacramento's historic Cal Western Life building. They used QuietRock to regain precious floor space and reduce noise, material and total project cost. Their project also included mold and moisture-resistant QuietRock DensArmor Plus 528 used as tile backer as part of a waterproof assembly to soundproof noisy bathrooms. The Citizen Hotel delivers restful hotel rooms, while maximizing usable space.

Vice President Biden Commends
Serious Materials
 In a statement on March 1, Vice President Joe Biden commended Serious Materials for working to re-open a recently shuttered windows plant outside of Chicago, Illinois and retraining and rehiring their workers.
"The reopening of this factory and the rehiring of these workers provide an excellent example of how the money in the Recovery Act is targeted to spur job creation quickly", said Vice President Biden. "These workers will not only earn a paycheck again; they will go back to work creating products that will benefit America's long-term economic future."
