Understanding BPM Benefits with Results Chains
By Sandeep Johal, Leonardo Consulting and Michael Rosemann, QUT
Inherent in each
organisation, regardless of its size, are processes that aim to add and deliver
value to clients. Most companies appreciate this fact and align themselves more
or less to a process-centred approach for the design of their organisations and
systems. Although, Business Process Management (BPM) may seem like an
inevitable solution for many, it still has to stand the critical economic
assessment and evidence on how BPM provides net benefits.
In sharp
contrast to this expectable requirement, the majority of the current BPM
practice seems to focus on the intrinsic value of BPM and often seeks a rather
wordy and qualitative approach to argue for and ultimately sell the BPM idea.
However, changes in the economic climate and the quickly increasing investments
required in large-scale BPM initiatives demand an immediate response to the
ultimate request for tangible BPM benefits. This is also demonstrated by the
results of a recent global Delphi study that showed that BPM users see the
value of process modelling (and not tool, methodology or tool discussion) as
the number one priority over the next five years (Indulska et al. 2009).

AMR Research backs E2E as 'better and faster' than SAP's own integration tools
Further recognition for the E2E solution has come from
AMR's Chief Research Officer Bruce Richardson.
Writing in a
recent newsletter Bruce Richardson wrote, ' Based on recent discussions with SAP customers,
it's clear the ERP leader needs to enhance the BC and PI products. Software
like the E2E Bridge can do a better and faster job of linking SAP customers to
third-party applications and future SAP on-demand and cloud offerings. It's
already being used for web-service-enabled on-demand platforms and business
process execution. In addition, E2E has quietly begun bridging into the mobile
world.......Additionally, the company's E2E Bridge has already been certified by Oracle to be
interoperable with Fusion middleware.'
It is not hard to see why the solution is
getting this recognition. Read on.
If you are running SAP shouldn't you be
looking at E2E?
