Music development at A Child's Garden Montessori School 

At ACG we are committed to provide a quality Montessori education to families who seek a wholesome educational experience for their children. In addition to the Montessori work period, the curriculum at ACG includes weekly music classes with Susan Younghans. Susan, an accomplished teacher, conducts two orchestras in the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra program and performs as a freelance violinist in several regional ensembles. She is in demand as an adjudicator and clinician and has guided many students to careers in music performance and education. We are very grateful to have her as part of the highly qualified staff that educates our students.

Thanksgiving Luncheon   Nov. 20th
This potluck event gives each child the opportunity to share a food item with the entire classroom and see how each piece becomes part of a whole. 

We believe that children will be better prepared for the future when parents and teachers work together for a common goal. This year ACG is happy to announce the assistance of a Parents Association that helps the school with fundraising, volunteering and enrichment activities, while fostering a sense of community among all of our families. We are happy to announce our new art classes taught by Anita Rizwan with Art Amore Kids. In these classes, children are encouraged to create original art work while introducing them to various artists such as Mondrian, Pollock, Van Gogh, etc... They also explore with a wide variety of art materials and learn techniques such as pointillism, collage, mixed media, and so on. And the best part is that children love it!.

ACG is now part of the Scholastic Book Club Online program. Each month students get new catalogs to choose from, so our little ones have a broad selection of books to read and to practice their skills at home.
