YOUNG HISTORIANS BLOG

Meet the Author: Walter Dean Myers

Drum roll please... our August Summer Book Club will feature Harlem Summer by Walter Dean Myers! This is a great book for all our historians, but especially our older ones. Have you ever wanted to have a relaxing summer but it didn't quite turn out that way? Mark just wants to have fun, but he finds himself torn between the “new Negroes” at the Crisis magazine office and the shadowy underworld of bootlegging.
