Dear IAF Member:,

Our first ever International Facilitation Week is creeping up on us fast – just six weeks away. The Week is about celebrating the power of facilitation from the bottom up: members and others showcasing what they do for businesses, communities and other organisations.  Attached are some resources to help you organise and publicise your own activities during the Week.

International Facilitation Week – suggested activities: if you are wanting inspiration for what you could do, this is a list of suggestions from IAF members. Do feel free to adapt these to suit what you do.

International Facilitation Week logo: This is the Week’s logo. Please do use this to brand your activities during the Week and any immediate follow up activities (for example, press stories). You should not use the logo for anything other than International Facilitation Week activities or use it in such a way that it implies the IAF have endorsed your specific activity.

Top 10 facilitation tips: these are designed to attract interest in the Week. You can use them in conjunction with other activities or if you cannot organise a special activity you could publicise these in your organisation or community. We will be using the tips on the website and on social media.

Press briefing and sample press release: This is a briefing on how to attract media attention and a sample press release. They are very general so do make sure you edit them. They are also written in English/English and formatted on A4 paper size, so you may need to change them to be more appropriate for your media sources.

If you are organising any activity – doesn’t matter how big or small do let us know as we can help publicise it on social media. You can post on the IAF LinkedIn group  http://www.linkedin.com/groups/International-Association-Facilitators-IAF-1913330/about to the Week twitter account www.twitter.com/facweek or direct to mailto:conference@iaf-world.org?subject=International Facilitation Week.

Finally, there are going to be a substantial number of activities during the Week that you will be able to join. Just a few of the global initiatives include:

• IAF Annual Virtual Meeting taking place on Tuesday 22 October times to be confirmed
• Tweetchats on Twitter where you can connect with other people involved in the week. Do make sure you are following @facweek to get further information
• Discussions on LinkedIn on different facilitation topics. If you want to join in make sure you a member of the LinkedIn group (links above)
• Riders on the Storm 2013 – www.ridersonthestormsummit.com – an international virtual professional development summit taking place to mark International Facilitation Week.

Remember do let us know what you will be doing.

With very best wishes
